American States That Allow You To Smoke Weed for Fun

Alaska

If you’re 21 and over living in Alaska, we have news for you! You can smoke pot legally even if it’s not for medical purposes! You can possess, use, and transport an ounce of marijuana in the largest state in the U.S., and that’s one big news.

As the first state to approve the use of medical cannabis in 1996, California had become even more weed-friendly since 2016 when the state made it legal to carry and use up to an ounce of marijuana even if you have no prescription. However, you won’t be able to purchase pot legally yet until the year 2018 begins, so how will you smoke? If you have a friend who uses medical cannabis you can share with them, or if you’re a medical marijuana patient.

Colorado

You can acquire up to an ounce of marijuana here, and purchasing a pack won’t be a problem since there are more cannabis dispensaries than McDonalds and Starbucks in this state.

Maine

Just like in California, retail stores won’t be open until 2018 in Maine, but what’s great about it is that Mainers are allowed to possess 2.5 ounces of marijuana—that’s double the limit in most states.

Massachusetts

If you’re a resident here, you can carry and consume little amounts of marijuana. You can even cultivate up to 12 cannabis plants at home! However, it will be a sin not to use products from Grow For 420 so make sure you visit their page before you do start planting.

Better start growing up marijuana crops than wait for retail stores to open doors in 2018, right?

Nevada

Possess an ounce of pot legally in Nevada! If you want to cultivate your own, however, you have to reside 25 miles outside the nearest dispensary to be authorized.

Oregonians were allowed to carry up to one ounce of weed last 2015. They can also grow up to four plants at home, even give marijuana edibles as gifts! Just be sure not to ingest them in public.

Washington

Since 2012, dispensaries in Washington have collected over a billion dollars just for selling nonmedical cannabis. A person can carry up to an ounce of marijuana, but if he wants to grow the drug, he must be a medical marijuana patient to be licensed.

Washington, DC

Last November 2014, residents of Washington, DC voted to legalize nonmedical cannabis. Now, they can possess up to two ounces of pot and give an ounce as a gift.

Reasons Why Your Books Need a Jigsaw

If you’re a book lover and you don’t own a jigsaw yet, I’m pretty sure your books are disappointed with you. Why? Because the jigsaw is the master of cutting—it can cut straight and odd shapes, allowing you to be as creative as possible. With one in your hand, you can make the greatest, unique book shelves, book covers, and library decorations. The possibilities are endless!

This versatile tool is perfect for cutting complex shapes and can even make bevel and compound cuts in wood and other materials. It’s the simple answer to your imaginative and innovative projects.

Compared to a hacksaw and a handsaw, a jigsaw can cut faster, enabling you to save a lot of energy and time. This is why it’s perfect for experienced and beginning woodworkers.

A jigsaw is even recommended for tiny workspaces because of their small size. They work similarly with a band saw and a circular saw when cutting pine boards and plywood. However, unlike the two, a jigsaw can begin cutting in the center of a board allowing you to drop the blade in after drilling a starting hole. Indeed, it’s small but terrible.

Don’t upset your books in the library any longer! Own a jigsaw right now and give them the home they deserve. To help you choose, here are some of the best jigsaws on the market.

Once you’ve purchased a jigsaw, you can try one of these library projects below:

Build a simple bookshelf. You can mount it near the living room or dining area, so you won’t miss a chapter of the book you’re currently reading. It’s the perfect project to start with.

Print out letters or numbers, cut them out, and use them to guide you as you trace the wood with your jigsaw. You can even print out the name of your favorite book or author. It’s also an excellent idea for labeling your bookshelves by category.
